Best Property Staging in the UK- and that is official!

Burbeck Interiors are proud to announce we recently won not one, but two design awards for the best home staging in London and the United Kingdom. This scheme was created for a one-of-a-kind apartment in the heart of South Kensington. The scope, scale and design of our scheme really transformed this property and sets the benchmark high for quality in the home staging sector.  

The designer went for a refined and elegant contemporary scheme to set this property apart from others on the market. This was achieved through the furniture, artwork, and soft furnishings not to forget the styling accessories which add a level of detail; critical in creating the ideal lifestyle for prospective buyers. 

Firstly, the Furniture! 

This was a massive area to tackle for the designer. With two large reception rooms, a dining room, four bedrooms and bathrooms and of course not forgetting the outside space she had her work cut out. With some of the rooms being over 10m long and the ceiling height being 12m heigh, considering how to zone the space was important to showcase a fluid lateral living space to create the ultimate entertaining space. The designer successfully achieved this by breaking the main reception room into four zones: a study, games corner, reading area and large seating area with tv. This really allowed the property to come alive and become a unique selling point.

Once the furniture layout was set the design process can begin. Concept boards helped to create a consistency throughout the property. It allowed the designer to collect all her ideas and inspiration to then construct a full scheme to present to the client. We brought this idea to life with initial renders to help the client visualise our plan for the space. Most of the furniture was designed for the job in-house with the remaining pieces bought from high end suppliers. Incorporating local brands ensured it was in-keeping with the area. 

If the designer had to pick her favourite room, it would have to be the main reception. With this room as a key selling point, it therefore required a lot of attention and design work to make sure it reflected this. She enjoyed blending a timeless elegance, seen in the traditional features such as the original fireplace and cornice details, with a playful contemporary design seen in the furniture, artwork, feature lamps and styling accessories. Introducing sophisticated curves into the scheme for this room, seen in the baby grand piano, subtle fabric patterns, sofas and artwork creates graceful unity throughout the room. Colour played a key role in the success of this room. A deep red seen in cushions and art mimic the incredible tones in the original fireplace. These add a depth and a richness to the existing cream furniture creating cohesive scheme. The scheme took weeks of refinements and tweaks all the way up to the installation day, especially when commissioning artwork and sourcing rental items such as the grand piano. 

We don’t just stop at the furniture; final touches are so important. When selling a property, first impressions are everything. Thinking about all the added details is crucial for a property of this value. Our senses play a huge part in our experiences; in each staging project we supply reed diffusers throughout key rooms bespoke to the property and the season it’s on the market.  Adding lifestyle accessories particularly in the bathrooms, kitchen and walk in wardrobes take the staging to a higher level.

The team loved working on this project, winning these awards for it was just the cherry on the top after months of hard work.
